Kunming
Kumning
Kunming 昆明 is the adminstrative capital and largest city of Yunnan province, China. It is essentially the hub for travel to South and West China. Kunming's economic importance stems from its geographical position. It shared borders with various Southeast Asian countries linking them with efficient transport systems by rail to Vietnam and Laos and by road to Burma and Thailand.
The city, at an altitude of 1800 metres above sea level, enjoys pleasant summer temperatures ranging from 14-28 Celsius. The city is surrounded by the Yunnan-Guizhou
Plateau and Dianchi Basin which shields it from much of the summer heat. And in the winter, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, known as ‘Roof of the World’, protects and shelters
Kunming from colder temperatures and allows the sun to shine abundantly over the city, lending itself to the label,‘The City of Springs’.

Lijiang
Lijiang is a prefecture-level city in Yunnan Province, situated at the southeastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau and the northwestern highlands of Yunnan, along the middle reaches of the Jinsha River. The region experiences a low-latitude warm temperate plateau mountain monsoon climate, boasting abundant water resources and a diverse range of flora and fauna.
Lijiang Ancient City is one of the earliest sites recognized by UNESCO and is actively promoted on an international scale, earning the nickname "model ancient village." It is also a significant route of the ancient "Southern Silk Road" and "Tea Horse Road."

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain
Yulong Snow Mountain is located in the Yulong Naxi Autonomous County of Lijiang, Yunnan Province, and is referred to as "Olu" in the Naxi language, meaning "Heavenly Mountain." The mountain range consists of 13 peaks, with the highest being Fanzi Peak, which stands at an elevation of 5,596 meters. This peak is notable for being the lowest latitude and highest elevation mountain in the Northern Hemisphere, as well as the closest mountain range to the equator in that hemisphere.
The primary rock types of Yulong Snow Mountain are limestone and basalt, giving the mountain a distinct black-and-white appearance, which has led to its nickname "Black and White Snow Mountain." In addition to its stunning snowy landscapes, Yulong Snow Mountain is rich in the vibrant culture of the Naxi people, making it a significant cultural landmark as well.

ShaXi Ancient Village
Unlike the bustling ancient towns of Yunnan, Shaxi Ancient Town remains an uncommercialized village, home to the indigenous Bai ethic and characterized by its authentic Bai architecture. Strolling through the village evokes a sense of poetry and distant horizons.
Shaxi Ancient Town is the last surviving ancient market on the Tea Horse Road, boasting a rich history that spans over 2,500 years. It is recognized as a significant historical site, listed among the 101 World Heritage Sites by the World Monuments Fund.

Dali Ancient Village
Dali Ancient Town embodies a rich history and the passage of time. Strolling along the cobblestone streets, one encounters a series of charming traditional buildings. The shops lining the streets are filled with unique handicrafts, featuring vibrant tie-dyed fabrics and exquisite silver jewelry that sparkles brilliantly.
Dali presents a stunning landscape painted with green mountains, clear waters, blue skies, and white clouds. Erhai Lake resembles a brilliant blue gem set within this beautiful land.

Pu'er UNESCO tea culture
Pu'er is the largest oasis on the Tropic of Cancer, featuring diverse forest types such as seasonal rainforests, montane rainforests, monsoon evergreen broadleaf forests, and warm temperate coniferous forests. It is home to nearly one-third of the country's species, earning it the title of "the palace of Yunnan's animal and plant kingdom."
Pu'er serves as a vibrant showcase of ethnic culture, characterized by its original and mysterious indigenous traditions and customs. Traditional festivals such as the Wa ethnic group's Wooden Drum Festival, the Lahu Gourd Festival, the Yi Torch Festival, and the Dai Water-Splashing Festival have been celebrated for millennia, each possessing unique charm.
In 2023, the scenic Maitreya Mountain in Pu'er was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, marking the first recognition of a location related to tea culture on a global scale.
